The Children's Museum

Today we went to The Children's Museum with The Claggett's. We always have such a great time there and Cora Mae always looks forward to going. Everything was so relaxed and the kids had a wonderful time. Cora Mae and Philip are such good friends and they play well together. As you can see in the pictures Philip has lost both of his front teeth. He was so cute and it was so funny to listen to him talk today. Molly and Jeremiah are getting big enough to really enjoy playing and exploring also. It was a super fun day!

Beth's Shower

The girls and I went to Ohio this weekend to attend a baby shower for one of my cousins, Beth. We had a great time seeing some family and it was great because I had not been over there since Molly had been born. Beth only has about 3 weeks left. Good Luck! We can't wait to meet Katie!

Roller Skating

My sister, Patty, gave Cora Mae some roller skates for her birthday. We got them out today and she did pretty good. She started out on the carpet and then moved to the hallway. She loves her new Barbie skates. Thank you Aunt Patty!!!!

All Day PJ Day

Every once in a while the girls and I just need to stay home and do nothing. We stay in our PJ's and try to have a quiet day at home. I would like to lay on the couch and read but that of course does not happen. Cora Mae had fun playing with her Polly Pockets and play dough. Molly had some quiet time playing by herself in her room. Cora Mae and I had some great conversations about friends at school and really just anything that came to her mind. That is always interesting. You NEVER know what she is going to say. She was such a cuddle bug today. Molly and I had our own time today laughing and playing together. What a great day! When Cora Mae and I are saying her prayers at night I always ask her about her favorite part of the day. Today she said, "I loved sharing with Molly." What a sweet girl. I can only hope that will continue for years to come.

Movie Time and Painting

While the little kids were resting Bryaden and Cora got to watch a movie and eat popcorn. Even though these two do not really nap anymore they still need to rest so a movie was the best option while they are together. Then we broke out the paint. Brayden's mom is not real big on messy art projects (no paint, play dough, . . . . .) so he was really excited to get his hands dirty. Their pictures were great!!

Outside Fun!!!!

All the World's a Stage

Our front porch has one step on it which I guess just happens to make it into a stage. Brayden and Cora decided to give us a concert that I am sure all the neighbors loved.

Morning with Bryce

Today the girls and I had the privilege of having Bryce and Brayden with us. During the morning Brayden and Cora were both at school so it was just Molly and Bruce. We had such a great time outside. When it was time to go run a couple of errands they both cried about having to get in the car. A couple of ducks joined us in the yard and Bryce loved them. He wanted to play with them so badly but they did not think that was such a good idea.

"Hi duck! Hi duck!"

It was a little strange to turn around and see a boy in the car. But who cares when the boy is this cute.

Wrestling with Michael

Only having girls Michael does not get the chance to wrestle very often. Well all three of the big kids took him on Sunday afternoon. I am not sure who had more fun, Michael or the kids.

Our friends, Dave and Stephanie, adopted this sweet little girl about a year ago. I was reminded of that tonight when I sat down to blog and saw a picture of her. I know that it is not the same month as last year but they got home from Africa Easter weekend last year with this little girl. The first picture was the very first picture that we ever saw of her and I know that I fell in love with her right away.
Wow! It is amazing what a little food and love will do for a little girl. God is so good! It has been amazing to see just how much she has changed in such a short amount of time. She really can melt your heart with her little smile.
This cute little guy is her big brother, Carlos. He loves his sister so much even when she drives him crazy (like every little sister). He loves to learn and is so funny. We have so much fun when we are together. We are so happy that they are apart of the family we choose.

Bunny Cake

When I was little my mom used to make cakes for us like this all the time. She would make us birthday cakes in the shape of a little girl. Mine of course always had red hair. My friend Stephanie made this for our Easter dinner and it made me remember those little girl cakes. It was so yummy!

Egg Hunt

After chuch on Sunday we had a few friends over for lunch. None of us have families in town even though we often say that we are family. We did not have the traditional Easter dinner but we all had a wonderful time and our bellies were really full. The kids had a great time during the egg hunt. We were all so happy that we were able to do it outside. Hunting eggs inside is fun but it is so much more fun outside.

Saturday Morning Cartoons

We have a deal with some of our friends where we watch each other's kids while the other gets to have an overnight date. It is a great system that has worked out great so far. So last night Simon and Anna came to spend the night with us. We had such a good time. Does it get any better than Saturday morning cartoons in your PJ's?
