Big Girl Seat Belt

Well she finally did it. She made it to 40 pounds. Cora has been looking forward to this day for so long and this weekend it finally happened. She loves it. She still has not mastered buckling it by herself but I am sure that will come very quickly. Yeah Cora!

Look Mom!!!!!!

My mom has gave me a piece of this plant when I got married. She had just got it from one of my aunts because she had never seen one before. It had a really cool bloom on it that when dried was a little star. Instead of keeping it for herself she gave it to me and I have always loved it. Now you have to know that this plant is the slowest growing plant ever. I have never cut it back and I have had it for almost 10 years. Well this week it finally bloomed!!!!!!!!!! It also has two little shoots coming off of it. When I told mom about it she immediately said, "I want one of them." I just hope that she is ready to wait a really long time to see any blooms. Good Luck with your little shoot mom!

Sweet Sisters

I feel so blessed to have two girls that really love one another. They love playing together. Dancing, princesses, Polly Pockets, books, Little People . . . . You name it and they enjoy doing it together. Now do not get me wrong I have broken up their fair share of fights (Molly is normally winning), but in the morning when they wake up as soon as they see each other they run and give each other the biggest hugs. I hope that they will always remember that their sister will always be their best friend, always there for one another and always loving one another. I know this because I have two great sisters and they are my best friends.

Cora's Day

Cora Mae's day was filled with a lot of fun today and since she was sick earlier in the week I think that she deserved some fun. She spent the morning at gymnastics. She loves this class and when we left she had red cheeks from all the fun. What a workout!
During room time she spent some time in the fashion world. Cora always loves to mix and match items of clothing. You never know what she is going to fish out of her drawers and put together. She is also a pro at accessorizing. You may think that we just have some really cool belts at our house but no that is a necklace. She wore it the rest of the day.
We have a name at our house for unpainted toes. We call them naked toes. Cora is always distressed when my toes are naked but today both of our toes were naked so we had to fix that. So we got in the van and drove to the nearest nail salon and the big girl and I had our toes painted. This was the first time that she had her toes painted at a nail salon so you can imagine the joy that was filling her little body. She loves the flowers! What a day!

Practicing Turns

This is a little video from Cora's first gymnastics class. They did not get out the balance beam this week but they practiced on the mat doing turns.

Pig Tails and Princess Skirts

Molly's hair is now long enough to put it up in pig tails! She really does not like the process of putting her hair up but what can I say it hurts to be a girl. But they are so cute. Also on this day she brought me a princess skirt to put on. She really thought that she was a big girl like her sister. It was so much fun to watch the two of them play princess together.

She had a hard time keeping the skirt up.

Growing like a weed

This is Michael's favorite shirt. He bought this for Cora and has always loved it. Molly had it on today and she looked super cute so we just had to take pictures for Daddy.

First Gymnastics Class

Cora Mae is taking a gymnastics class at our local YMCA this fall and this past week she had her very first class. She did a really good job and I think that she is going to love it. I can't wait to see what she learns to do.

Practicing a hand stand is her favorite thing to do so far. I am sure that it will change each week though.

Day with Brayden

We were so lucky to have Brayden spend the night with us last night and then spend the day hanging out with us. Brayden and Cora always have a great time playing together so we had a great time. We made playdough and then they spent about an hour playing with it. It must have been some great playdough and then we spent some time outside "painting." Come back soon Brayden!

Fun Times

Molly was not happy about something today. This is where I found her crying. She is so funny. Well after her moment in the curtains she was much happier.

Molly's Playgroup

We went to playgroup today at church. It is really a younger group and Cora is the oldest there so it is really a group for Molly. The little kids had such a good time playing "together" if you can really call it that. They are learning. It is so fun to watch them grow.

Cora and the computer

I am not sure what happened with these pictures but they look like she has gotten up in the middle of the night to play on the computer. She loves playing games on the computer and is really getting good. She loves playing "Super Why." Good job Cora Mae.

The Best Phone Call!!!

I got the best phone call today from my sister. A phone call that I pray I will get many more times because it is always the best news. My sister, Judean, called tonight and said Peyton has something to tell you. I hear Peyton in the background saying, "I got saved tonight!" She has asked Jesus to come and live in her heart and I pray that she will never be the same. I am so proud of her and could not tell her enough. Cora Mae and I had a celebration in the living room but I know that the celebration in heaven is even greater. Oh how I loved this phone call and how I pray that Cora Mae and Molly will make the same phone call soon. Thank you Jesus!

Taking a break

Kelly and I went shopping Friday to take advantage of the Labor Day Sale. We had so much fun. One time during the day we took a little break and let the kids play on the "rides" if you can call them that since I did not have ANY change. The poor things were just so happy to be out of the stores that they did not care the rides did not move. I think that the picture of Cora and Brayden is so funny. What imaginations they have.
What a sweet little girl!
