Toe Socks

When I was in college my sister, Patty, gave me some toe socks. If you have never seen toe socks they are like gloves for your feet. I love them. Every time I put them on Cora Mae looks at me and says, "Mommy why do you have on those crazy socks?" Well tonight Molly dug them out of the dirty clothes (Yes I said dirty clothes. Rest assured they were the only things in the basket. I can never decide which load to wash them with.) and put them on all by herself. She then came prancing into the living with a look on her face like look what I just did. For a little girl I think she did a great job! She was so cute we just had to take some pictures.

Christmas Morning

These are a few pictures from Christmas morning. The girls had a wonderful time opening up their presents from Santa and cousins.

Birthday Cake for Jesus

Every year we make a birthday cake for Jesus. Then on Christmas Eve we have a party as a family. We read the story about baby Jesus and then sing Happy Birthday. Michael and I always want the girls to remember this part of our Christmas time so we try to make it really special. This year Cora Mae decorated the cake all by herself. We have no sprinkles left in the house but Cora Mae wanted the cake to be extra special and I think that she did a great job!

Team Kid Christmas Party

On Wednesday Nights, Cora Mae goes to Team Kid. It is a wonderful program that our church does and Cora is learning so much there. The Wednesday before Christmas they had a party and the moms got to come also. We had so much. We did so crafts and played some games. It is so much fun spending time with her as she is growing up.

Cora Mae's Christmas Program

We had the pleasure of attending Cora Mae's Christmas program again this year. And yet again it did not disappoint. The kids have a great time and they are so funny. They sang songs about Jesus and then they give presents (food for the church's food pantry) to Baby Jesus. I love the school that she attends because above all else they want to teach these children to love Jesus. I am so thankful for these ladies!

Christmas Card

One Sunday morning before church we tried to get a picture for the Christmas Card. The girls looked so cute in their matching outfits but as you can see Molly did not think that this was a very good idea. Cora Mae, being the model that she is, posed all morning. What a wonderful way to start a day of worship.

Belles' Bruch

There is an event at church each year called Belles Brunch. I have always wanted to go but for different reasons I have never been able to go until this year. I went with two of my very best friends in the world and we had a wonderful time. The men of the church valet parked all of our cars, escorted us to our tables, and waited on the tables. The food was really good! And you know that is what it is all about. No really, the message was about God's peace and how freely He gives it to each of us. I can't wait until next year!

Santa!!!!!

We went to see Santa yesterday and oh the fun that was had. Both of the girls did really well and there were no meltdowns even though I am not sure that Molly would have made it much longer. The Children's Museum always has such great things to play with during Christmas time. One of our favorite things to do is to "make" cookies. They even make the room smell like cookies it is great.

Molly's favorite thing

Molly loves to read books. Since she was tiny she has spent a good part of her day reading books. Even though we do spend time reading together she doesn't necessarily want anyone to read them to her. She is content to sit and just "read" on her own. I hope that this is only the beginning of a lifetime love of reading!

Making Cookies

Cora Mae and I had a great time the other night making cookies. She is so much fun to have in the kitchen. By the time we finished there was powered sugar everywhere but who cares we had a great time!

It's a miracle!

Let me start off by saying that I have the best husband in the whole world. This picture may not look like a great accomplishment to you but if only you had seen what it looked like before. He worked so hard and now the van fits in the garage! How great to get in a car without it being covered in snow and ice! Thank you so much babe!

PIcking your nose is not a sport!

Well if it were Cora Mae would get a gold medal. We say this line to her many times during the day. After about 3 minutes of being in the car I hear, "Mom I need a Kleenex." Every single time we are in the car this happens! I guess she has nothing else to do.
